Who is Your Focus?

Today, there are many  various and diverse influences upon our senses and in particular on the mind and heart. Mankind is bombarded with so many mind stimulus such as television, social media, news channels, radio, music and movie industries, road signs etc. Often humanity is overwhelmed by the influence of so much mind influencing activity.

The question we are to answer is who is your focus? So often through sports networks, television, Hollywood, social media, many focus on famous individual. These famous individuals can come in various means such as famous people of the past, TV stars, sports stars, politicians, etc. So often people are focused on these famous people that it the person may even become an idol. There is even a TV show called American Idol, where various competitors are idolized for their talents. 

Where does the Lord God fit into the mix of the focus of many? 

For the Christian believer, Christ is to be Lord and Master of one's life here in this world and beyond. Is there any type of person in this world, whether he or she is a famous person or not ever going to provide anything more beyond this life, beyond the grave? No! People so often become very focused upon humans and idolize to the point that they cannot focus on anything else. Those who are so focused on a person can not see beyond their narrow mindedness and take a look at the "big picture" regarding life and reexamining their focus. Is there anything or anybody on this earth that can deliver us from the condemnation of the sinful state of humanity? Can a fallible person save another from the destiny of hell? The answer is no. Only the Lord Jesus the Christ has provided the ultimate favor in taking the place for us on the cross, delivering those of God's drawn and predestined elect into the eternal heavenly home. Jesus alone declared "I am the way, the truth, and the life, no one comes to the Father except through Me" (John 14:6). 

Jesus is the only way, the only One Mediator between God and mankind (1 Tim. 2:5). So who else can mankind focus on for answers to eternal questions regarding this world and eternity? Confucius? Buddha? CNN? Fox News? None of the above! 

Who is your focus on? Mankind's only hope in this world and the next, is only to focus on the soon coming King, the Lord Jesus the Christ! 

Believers; now is the time to fight the good faith of faith. To stand firm on Biblical truths, be led by the Holy Spirit of God and go make disciples of Christ.

Nonbelievers; Who will you focus on or trust for your soul beyond the grave? Today is the first day of the rest of your life. Now is the time of your focus to be turned upon Christ and allow Him to be your focus!
